What Can Go Wrong (And How to Handle It)

It's raining

Backup: Propose in the Palazzo Vecchio courtyard (covered, dramatic) or under the covered section of Ponte Vecchio

Piazzale Michelangelo is too crowded

Walk down to the Rose Garden (3 min) - same views, way fewer people. Or come back at sunrise.

She notices the photographer

'Let's ask that person with the nice camera to take a photo of us with this view!'

Ring box is too obvious

Use a slim ring pouch, keep in front pocket, have her face the view until you kneel

She's too tired from the uphill walk

Take a taxi to Piazzale Michelangelo (€15), or propose in the Rose Garden partway up
